The food has added glucosamine, a natural compound which is found in cartilage, the soft tissue between your dog’s joints. Glucosamine helps to restore damage done to your dog’s joints, keeping them strong and healthy so they can enjoy an active lifestyle.

The special reduced fat formula helps your dog to maintain its ideal weight, which reduces stress on their joints and internal organs, which is particularly important in larger dog breeds as they naturally carry more weight.

The food’s high fibre content helps to regulate your dog’s digestive system and keeps everything running efficiently, meaning it's put under less strain and can reduce the risk of digestive disorders. It also tends to produce smaller, well-formed stools that don't leave a mess.

The food is high in omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, which help to strengthen the health of your dog’s heart. Large breed puppies, reaching 25 - 40 kg at maturity, should transition to Iams ProActive Health Large Breed formula at 12 months of age. Giant breed puppies, over 40 kg at maturity, should transition to Iams ProActive Health Large Breed formula at 24 months of age. Remember to have clean, fresh water available for your dog at all times. When introducing Iams Dog Food, gradually mix it with your dog's current food over the course of 4 days.
