Our dog is very much food and treat orientated, and with it coming up to bonfire night we wanted to have a few things to distract him from the fireworks going off. Tonight was one such night with two local displays going off.
This was his preferred self food-i-cation way of distracting himself from the fireworks, and while he did have other treats to munch on his is what he seemed to prefer. A bit of crunch for self distraction.
In the pack you get 6 yak sticks, these are solid milk while some dogs do prefer them as along lasting hard chew, our dog preferred them microwaved so they puff up. And that's what we did with these, and they came out great. With our 800w microwave oven, we gave it 1min 30sec and they puffed up very well. Just be careful because they are super hot, and leave at least 15 minutes to cool down, but you can do them the night before if you need to but they do expand and take up more space.
Successful night of fireworks with a happily distracted dog. Happy to eat them, crunch them.
