When installing the SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap or the DualScan Microchip Cat Flap into glass, walls and certain door types a mounting adaptor is required. A circular hole with a diameter of 212mm (min) to 260mm (max) is required for installation in glass, with the ideal size being 212mm. The total diameter of the mounting adaptor is 285mm. In wall installations a mounting adaptor allows you to remove the cat flap more easily without damaging the wall.

Fit for purpose, easy to install with adhesiveWe used this on a metal door as the recommended accessory from SureFlap for our microchip cat flap. No additional drilling was needed as we glued the inside plate (they're sold as a pair) with adhesive, the external plate has also been glued with adhesive but also finished with sealant to keep moisture away. I suggest using an adhesive that is fitted using a tradesman's adhesive gun.
