Capstar Fast Acting Flea Treatment Tablets for Large Dogs (Over 11kg)
Product details
Capstar tablets are for the treatment of flea (Ctenocephalides felis) infestations on large dogs over 11kg. Each pack contains 6 tablets. This is an authorised veterinary medicine.
The frequency of treatment depends on the degree of infestation. In the case of a severe flea infestation, it may be necessary to treat the animals every day or every other day, until the flea infestation is controlled. Treatment may be resumed if fleas reappear.
Capstar does not have persistent activity. To prevent re-infestation, a suitable treatment to control immature stages of the flea life cycle is recommended.

Overall very goodMy 8 year old lurcher (long hair) has suffered with fleas most of the summer. The usual 'back of the neck treatments' did not work. This product worked and it can be taken along side other flea treatments.

Effective treatmentWorks quickly and is effective at getting rid of fleas. However the problem with fleas is that they live in the dog's bedding and carpets (and it's really difficult to illuminate them entirely) so he can easily get reinfected and then needs treating again so it starts to get expensive! I would recommend the tablets. We found the flea collar we bought virtually useless. Some sprays are ok so too are shampoos. If your dog has fleas expect to treat and then retreat your pet!
