Royal Canin Ageing 12+ Senior Cat Dry Food
Product details
Balanced and complete feed for cats - Specially for senior cats over 12 years old.
Ageing cats have different nutritional needs than their younger counterparts; that's why it's important to modify your cat's diet as it ages, to ensure that those needs are being met and maintained.Royal Canin® Senior Ageing 12+ is suitable for cats over 12 years of age and is specially formulated with the nutritional needs of your senior cats like yours in mind. Some senior cats experience a slight decline in their senses of taste and smell as they age, this can typically lead to a loss of appetite and consequently a lower intake of food. Royal Canin® Senior Ageing 12+ food has highly palatable kibble with a double texture (crunchy outside, soft inside) that helps stimulate a senior cat's general appetite. As cats get older, they require a diet that includes certain nutrients that help maintain their health through the natural ageing period. That's why Royal Canin® Senior Ageing 12+ contains a complex of antioxidants that support senior cats through the ageing process. Thanks to a moderate phosphorus level, Royal Canin® Senior Ageing 12+ also helps to support healthy kidney function, which is highly beneficial in senior cats.Royal Canin® Senior Ageing food contains a carefully-considered balance of minerals. This helps to support your cat's urinary system and maintain overall urinary tract health. To cater to each cat's individual preferences, Royal Canin® Senior Ageing 12+ is also available as wet food in either a delicious gravy or succulent jelly. If you're considering mixed feeding, simply follow our feeding guidelines to ensure your cat gets an accurate amount of both wet and dry food for optimal benefit. At Royal Canin® we're committed to providing nutritional solutions to your pet's needs. All of our products undergo an extensive quality control process in order to guarantee the optimum quality of food as well as catering to its specific dietary requirements and lifestyle. This means that when your cat eats Royal Canin® Senior Ageing 12+, it's getting a complete and balanced diet.
Appetite Stimulation: In some senior cats, the senses of taste and smell decline with age, which leads to lower food intake and subsequent weight loss. Ageing 12+ helps stimulate the senior cat’s appetite thanks to a highly palatable, double texture kibble which is easy to chew.
Healthy Ageing Complex: Limits the consequences of ageing on cognitive function, mobility, and oxidative stress thanks to specific nutrients (tryptophan, EPA-DHA, and a complex of antioxidants including lycopene and beta-carotene).
Renal Health: A decline in kidney function is common in older cats. Ageing 12+ contains a moderate phosphorus level to help support renal health.
Urinary Health: Formulated to help maintain health of an adult cat’s urinary system.

Quick delivery, cat likes them.No idea if they are helping my 13 +year old cat but he really likes them . He still has his teeth , so the size isn't a problem but they are large.

This 12+ has been really good for my 9 year old cat who is very poorlyAlthough my cat is only 9 years old, he is very poorly and often struggles picking up smaller biscuits. I thought both the shape of the kibble, and its appetite stimulation would help him have a better diet. He has found it so much easier to eat and has really picked up over the last 4 weeks.

Good for some but not for others!I ordered these for my three senior cats, two boys, one girl, all over 12. One of the boys absolutely loves them. However, the size of the kibble is huge and bearing in mind that a lot of senior cats have no teeth I don’t know how they are expected to manage such massive kibbles. My little female hasn’t had any teeth for years and being small she just chokes on them. My other boy likes the taste but isn’t too keen on crunching them up, he prefers a smaller kibble too. It’s a bit of a nuisance because I could only buy a huge bag that I’m now stuck with. Why not provide the product in a smaller kibble size?

Finally a dry food my fussy 16 year old cat eats!My 16 year old moggy has sensitive teeth now he's knocking on a bit and he loves the soft centre of these. I always like to use dry food through the late spring to early autum as it stays edible longer and doesn't attract the dreaded flies.

Perfect for my old girl!Tinkerbell is 12 and I've found over the last few years she is more and more picky about what she eats. I was reluctant to try Royal Canin as it's so expensive but I'm glad I did because she wolfs it down at every meal.
