They can be destructive with plush and fabric toys but rarely are destructive with rubber toys. Additionally, Kong does recommend sizing up if a dog destroys a Kong in a short period of time. The size increases the thickness of the rubber making it harder for a dog to get leverage on the product and therefore making it less prone to destruction.

Good enrichment toyI've been giving my dogs kongs for years, and they've always been good sturdy toys, standing up well to chewing and keeping dogs busy for ages. I bought the wrong size for my dog, so it's a bit on the small side for him. He's a new rescue who isn't really sure about chewing toys yet, so having a small one that he can fairly easily knock the treats out of has worked well, we'll be re-ordering him a new one soon!
